Shopahula, shop shop a hula, shopahula SHOP!
This shop is run by a relative newcomer to the village - Mr. Smith! He arrived in the village in the late 1970's and at first kept himself to himself. Everyone in the village was very worried as he never seemed to have any visitors and Pete, the village postman, noticed that he never received any post.Gradually, however, he couldn't help but be drawn into village life. He became involved with the village church and accepted and invitation to sing in the church choir. Recently he's also been known to take part in the Karioke night at the Dog and Duck! As he became more involved in village life and several of the members of the W.I. tried to take him under their wing (Did we mention Mr. Smith was tall, greying nicely and handsome!)he let slip in conversation that he had spent quite a lot of time in America and had attended an incredible amount of Elvis concerts! Well before he knew it Karen and Anita (who liked to organise things in the village)had suggested he opened a little shop in the front of his cottage selling Elvis items - just they thought to stop him getting bored and to give him an interest. Despite his protests they organised stock for him and voluntered to help! Now he really enjoys himself as the village and the surrounding towns seem to be full of Elvis fans and they all love to drop in for a coffee and a chat and to add to their Elvis collection!
